Description

Accumulation

Accumulation

A transaction that added points to a card, usually a purchase. Some POS terminals can send the transaction and all purchased items.

Complete Cancel – Accumulation

Cancellation of a transaction that added points to a card. Accumulated points are reverted

Partial Cancel - Accumulation

Partial cancellation of a transaction that added points to a card, points are reverted.

Item Cancel – Accumulation

Cancellation of a subset of purchased items, points are reverted.

Activation

Activation

Activate a card with a balance, card made available for use.

Complete Cancel – Activation

Cancellation of card activation, card is not available to use anymore.

Balance

Balance

Balance on card checked at the POS or Terminal.

Balance Transfer From

Balance is transferred from the card, the card balance decreases.

Balance Transfer To

Balance is transferred to the card, the card balance increases.

Adjustments

Prepaid - Add

Add dollars to a gift card in the back office.

Prepaid - Subtract

Remove dollars from a gift card in the back office.

Loyalty - Add

Add points to a loyalty card in the back office.

Loyalty - Subtract

Remove points from a loyalty card in the back office.

Reload

Reload

Increase a card balance.

Partial Cancel – Reload

Partial cancellation of a card balance increase.

Complete Cancel – Reload

Complete cancellation of a card balance increase.

Redemption

Redeem

Redeem dollars/points on a card. Usually to make a purchase.

Complete Cancel - Redeem

Complete cancellation of a redemption transaction. Usually a return or refund.

Partial Cancel - Redeem

Partial cancellation of a redemption transaction

Preauthorization

Preauthorize a card, the amount will be reserved for a future redemption transaction

Redemption preauthorization

Redeem dollars on a preauthorized amount.

Complete Cancel - Redemption preauthorization

Complete cancel of a redeem transaction on a preauthorized amount.

Partial Cancel - Redemption preauthorization

Partial cancel on a redeem transaction, on a preauthorized amount.

Reward

Redemption

Reward is redeemed. For example, buy 10 coffees and the 11th is free. When the member accepts their free coffee the reward is redeemed.

Cancel Redemption

Reward redemption is canceled. Possible if the member returns their reward.

Earn

A reward is earned. Member reached predetermined threshold to earn a reward. For example, buy 10 coffees and the 11th is free. The free coffee is the earned reward.

Cancel Earned

The earned reward is canceled. Possible if a member cancels a transaction that was required to earn the reward. Only possible in the back office.

Expiration

The earned reward has expired. No longer available for redemption

Add Reward

Adjustment transaction adding a reward to a card.

Remove Reward

Adjustment transaction removing a reward from a card.

Add Punch

Adjustment transaction adding a punch to a card.

Remove Punch

Adjustment transaction removing a punch from a card.

Other

Cash Remittance

Empty a gift card balance. Usually to give the cash to the card holder.

Unfroze

Unfreeze points, created by an accumulation transaction.

Import

A card and its balance and is imported into the system.
