With our E-gift promotions feature, you can reward your clients by giving them bonus amounts ($) or a bonus percentage (%) on their gift card purchases made on the DataCandy e-gift site! The gift card buyer will receive, with all eligible e-gift card purchases, a promotional gift card automatically according to the bonus you have set.

Set it up, sit back and see your digital gift card sales increase!

An active DataCandy e-gift site is required to use this feature. Please contact DataCandy if you wish to add this functionality to your gift card program!

From the main menu select Offers / E-gift Cards / Add.

1. A promotion Name and Description. This is the header text (Name field) and offer description (Description field) that will be displayed in the pop up of the e-gift site’s homepage.
2. An Image. The uploaded image must be 1000 px wide x 640 px high; if no image is uploaded the default “PROMO” image below will appear.

1. If Yes is selected, the promotion will automatically start on the selected start date and be displayed on your egift site.
2. If No is selected, the promotion can still be saved but it will not start automatically until the active field is set to yes at a later date.

Enter an External Reference. This is optional.

Select the Paid by merchant. This will be the assigned merchant for all promotional gift card activations linked to the promotion in reports and the clearinghouse (if applicable).

1. Note that if the end date is left empty, the promotion will run until it is manually stopped.
2. You may set a specific start and end time if you wish. By default our platform will suggest 00:00 if the start date is in the future.
3. For a one-day promotion, set the start and end dates to the same date.

Select the Promotional gift card you wish to use.

1. You can select from the carrousel of available promotional cards. The image shown is the one that will be used for the email sent to the buyer and the gift card page. 
2. The number of days or speciﬁc date shown below the image represents the expiration date of the promotion gift card that will be sent out.

Define your promotion details. Select wheter you want to give an amount bonus or percentage bonus. This will determine how the bonus is calculated.

1. Amount bonus: Clients will get an X$ bonus for every X$ they spend. You can also set a maximum bonus amount allowed per transaction.
2. Percentage bonus: Client will get a X% bonus on every purchase; this is also the equivalent to discounting the gift card so there is no minimum amount to buy to getthe bonus. You can also set a maximum bonus amount allowed per transaction.
3. According to the configured values, the system will display the corresponding offer details on the purchase screen. This text is not editable.
