Items represent the list of SKUs or products that are sold within your business. Once activated, you can find out what your loyalty members are purchasing the most and help you better understand you loyalty member preferences and behaviour!
You can also use items when creating Promotions or Punch Cards and will give you access to item based reports. You can also use items to target members who have bought them.
However, we do not automatically sync your products from your POS; they must be created or imported into DataCandy. Both one-time and recurrent imports are available to keep your item list up to date in our platform.
Clarification:
Items are an optional feature and it is only available on our DC PRO solution; if you wish to use them or set up a recurrent import of items, please reach out to your DataCandy contact. Some fees may apply.
POS systems will send us the information of the items purchased by a member only when it is linked to a loyalty card. Some limited item functionalities are also available through our terminal integration.
Item Categories
Item categories are a way for you to group and organize your items in our platform. This also allows you use item categories when creating Promotions or Punch Cards and can simplify the configuration of your offers.
